It is a truly awe-inspiring experience - the sight, the sound, the smell, the humbling feeling that here indeed is nature's supreme masterpiece. No photograph can begin to depict the reality...and nothing prepares you for your first sight. You will be accompanied through the rainforest by a qualified guide who will give a brief history of the Falls themselves as well as detailing the flora, fauna, bird and wildlife and other points of interest. Race Day!You will need to have an early breakfast this morning and make your way to the starting line, which is outside the Kingdom Hotel.After the race there is a transfer from the Stadium back to the hotel. Lunch will be at the hotel. After lunch you will meet your guide at reception for your transfer to the departure point for the Afternoon river cruise and after party. No dinner has been included tonight. This is for client’s own account as food will be served at the party or if guests prefer they can eat at a local restaurant or back at the hotel. Overnight Kingdom Hotel. Mon 30Aug ~ Victoria Falls.Breakfast and Lunch at the hotel and the rest of the day will be at your leisure. Optional excursions such as:- bungi jumping, rafting etc – these should be pre-booked.Tonight you will meet your driver at reception for your transfer to the “BOMA” where you will have dinner. This is not just another ethnic restaurant but a rather unique cultural experience. Excellent cuisine, including a variety of game meats and traditional Zimbabwean dishes, is accompanied by entertainment throughout your meal from traditional dancers, the Sangoma (story teller) and a local witchdoctor who is available for fortune telling. Guests are welcomed with a traditional greeting in Shone and Ndebele, the local languages. They are invited to take part in a hand washing ceremony before sampling traditional beer and snacks, as a prelude to dinner. The highlight of the evening is the interactive drumming and dancing! Return transfer to the Kingdom Hotel for overnight.
